Jon Jones tweets surprisingly positive message to injured Daniel Cormier

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have never hidden the animosity that exists between them, but with Cormier withdrawing from their main-event bout at UFC 197, Jones delivered some kind words via Twitter.

Cormier is reportedly dealing with a leg injury, which will prevent him from defending his light heavyweight title at the April 23 event in Las Vegas.

Jones and Cormier have a long history of bitterness toward each other, dating back to their first meeting which Jones won by unanimous decision at UFC 182 in January 2015.

It's still unknown whether the UFC will find a new opponent for Jones or if the fight will be rescheduled.
