USC guard Julian Jacobs is declaring for the 2016 NBA Draft, but will hold off on hiring an agent for now, he told Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News.

Jacobs is contemplating signing a professional representative, which would prohibit him from withdrawing his name from the draft down the road. Players are allowed to pull out of the draft before May 25, so long as they remain without an agent.

Jacobs averaged 11.6 points and 5.5 assists for the Trojans this year, and helped get them to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2011.

The junior is expected to be a second-round pick if he stays in the draft.
