Rex Ryan: Bills 'don't have a lot of depth right now'

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan knows where his team stands and he's not afraid to admit it.

"We don’t have a whole lot of depth right now, so we’re going to have to do a great job in the draft, which we will," Ryan told NFL Network this week, according to ESPN. "Doug Whaley is an outstanding evaluator of talent. We have to hit in the draft, there is no doubt, but I think there are some opportunities there to help us.

"I don’t expect people to feel sorry for us because you don’t need to."

Ryan had a disappointing first season in Buffalo after guaranteeing a playoff appearance. The defensive specialist turned the top pass rush of the 2014 season into the 31st ranked in 2015. The Bills were forced to part ways with star defensive end Mario Williams in February as a result.

There will be pressure on Ryan and general manager Doug Whaley to put a winning product on the field after their 2015 season and the expectations Ryan has brought to town.
