Ole Miss' Freeze: NCAA investigation like 'a four-year colonoscopy'

Ole Miss has nothing to hide, according to head coach Hugh Freeze, and the NCAA seems to be making sure of it.

While speaking with CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd during the Rebels' pro day Tuesday, Freeze said the ongoing NCAA investigation into his program for possible rules violations is like "a four-year colonoscopy."

The Rebels have become one of the top recruiting schools in the country since Freeze stepped on campus four years ago, despite competing for talent with the likes of Alabama, LSU, and Auburn.

Freeze maintained that Ole Miss has followed all the rules, and said suggestions to the contrary are baseless and disrespectful to his program.

"Have I been insulted? Absolutely. Many times," he said. "I handle it a lot better now. … The perception out there and the narrative of all this pay-for-play that is, in my opinion, very inaccurate."

He added: "We're extremely confident in who we are and how we do things inside this building."

Ole Miss has reportedly been the subject of an NCAA investigation since October 2014.
