Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings is denying rumors he's been fired, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Stallings told Rothstein there is "no truth whatsoever" to reports indicating Vandy has already moved on from the longtime head coach.

In 17 seasons at the Commodores' helm, Stallings has a 332-220 record, while taking his teams to seven NCAA tournaments. Questions about his future have been percolating to the surface over the last year.

''That decision is not made by me,'' Stallings said last week when asked about if he'd remain the team's head coach. ''I've been here for 17 years. So I don't know what else I would be doing. But we're proud to have been in the NCAA Tournament. We got behind the 8-ball a little bit during the season and our guys fought hard and dug their way in and dug their way out. And we had a pretty good finish.''
