Carmelo: Cavaliers' drama 'more comical' than Knicks'

LeBron James and his recent social media antics are turning the Cleveland Cavaliers into somewhat of a three-ring circus, with less focus on the on-court product while the spotlight shines on James' Twitter account after he unfollowed the franchise, and sent a series of cryptic tweets.

If anyone can appreciate what it's like to deal with unnecessary drama, it's New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony.

"Their (James' and the Cavaliers') drama is more comical," Anthony said following his team's Wednesday shootaround, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "It's more getting off of Twitter. Know what I mean? It's always something that they blow up. Him unfollowing the organization. Him shutting his Twitter down. It is always something over there along those lines."

That's not to say Anthony hasn't had to deal with his fair share of drama this season in The Big Apple, though.

"Over here it's drama, a different type of drama over here," Anthony said, laughing.

The Knicks are set to miss out on the playoffs for the third year in a row with a losing record, former head coach Derek Fisher was fired earlier in the season, and team president Phil Jackson may not or may not coach home games for the team in 2016-17.

Anthony sat out New York's eight-point loss Sunday to the Sacramento Kings at Madison Square Garden due to a migraine, which he assured reporters didn't come as a result of him being stressed out.

"If that was the case I'd have had migraines every day last year," Anthony said. "Last year was a lot worse than this year, just as far as, winning 17 games and figuring out how to approach each day mentally. So I think it would have been more stress on me last year than it is this year."
