Canucks sign Swedish League MVP Anton Rodin to 1-year contract

The Vancouver Canucks have signed winger Anton Rodin to a one-year, one-way deal, general manager Jim Benning announced.
The 25-year-old, who was drafted by the Canucks in the second round of the 2009 NHL draft, spent this season playing for Brynas IF Gavle of the Swedish Hockey League, recording 16 goals and 37 points in 33 games while also earning the Gold Helmet Award as the league's most valuable player.
Rodin's one-year deal will begin at the onset of the 2016-17 season.
