Derrick Rose hyperextends elbow in win over Pacers
The Chicago Bulls left Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday with a much-needed win over the Indiana Pacers to keep them in the playoff hunt. Unfortunately, in the process, one of their key players didn't finish the game unscathed.
Head coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters after the game that point guard Derrick Rose hyperextended his left elbow, and that he'd be reevaluated on Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson.
Rose, with a huge wrap on his elbow, said he wasn't sure if he'd miss any time moving forward due to the injury.
X-rays on Rose's left elbow were negative.

The former league MVP has already sat 12 games this season. But when compared to some of his other years in the league, however, that number is considered an improvement. He missed 31 games in 2014-15, 72 the year prior, and missed the entire 2012-13 campaign while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.
He played 28 minutes on Tuesday, scoring eight points on 4-of-15 shooting. In 62 appearances, Rose is averaging 16.8 points on 42.9 percent shooting, along with 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
