4 of 8 playoff series confirmed heading into Sunday

After all 30 teams took the ice Saturday, the 16 playoff-bound teams are now confirmed, and four of eight first-round playoff series are officially set with just two games with playoff implications scheduled for the final night of regular-season action Sunday.

Here's what the postseason matchups look like following Saturday's games:

Eastern Conference

• Flyers beat Penguins, clinched playoff spot with Bruins loss; will face Capitals in first round
• Red Wings lost to Rangers, clinched 25th consecutive playoff berth thanks to Bruins loss; will meet Lightning in first round
• Rangers win moves them back into third place in the Metropolitan Division with Islanders overtime loss to Sabres

Metropolitan Division

• If Islanders defeat Flyers on Sunday, they will move into third in the Metropolitan Division, and face Penguins in first round
• If Islanders lose to Flyers on Sunday, they will remain in the first wild-card position, and face Panthers in first round

Western Conference

• Stars beat Predators to clinch first place in Central Division and Western Conference; will face Wild in first round
• Blues loss guarantees they will face Blackhawks in first round
• Kings lose in shootout to Jets to remain one point ahead of Ducks - who defeated Avalanche

Pacific Division

• If Ducks beat Capitals on Sunday, they win the Pacific Division and will face Predators in first round
• If Ducks lose to Capitals on Sunday, Ducks will remain second in the Pacific and face Sharks in first round
