Report: Bayern to sign Ousmane Dembele despite Manchester City link
German outfit Bayern Munich is set to snap up highly touted French winger Ousmane Dembele, according to ESPN FC.
The 18-year-old Rennes talent has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, Barcelona, Juventus, and AS Monaco.
ESPN FC reports that Dembele is closest to a move to the Allianz Arena, with the Bavarian club scouting the player extensively, and looking to lock up his signature before loaning him back to Rennes next season.
Dembele has scored 10 goals and added five assists (in 21 Ligue 1 matches) this season, something no player at his age has ever accomplished in the French top flight.
