No. 7 Wisconsin advanced to the Sweet 16 on Sunday behind a buzzer-beating triple from Bronson Koenig to defeat No. 2 Xavier 66-63.

With the score tied at 63 apiece, Wisconsin called a timeout to draw up a play with two seconds remaining. They spotted Koenig fading to the corner and he made no mistake.

"I wanted to channel my inner Steph Curry and it worked," a jubilant Koenig said in the postgame interview.

Koenig, who entered the game shooting 3-of-17 from deep over his last three games, drilled another three with 13 seconds left to tie the game. He finished with 20 points and six threes on the night.

Then again, the Badgers might have been denied a chance at heroics if it weren't for a controversial decision. Xavier guard Edmond Sumner was whistled for a charge with five seconds remaining to set up Koenig's dagger.

Wisconsin will face No. 6 Notre Dame for a spot in the Elite Eight.
