Zetterberg: 'It was nice to see Mr. President in the stands'
Even the Detroit Red Wings got a kick out of it.
Kevin Spacey - award-winning actor, the star of Netflix's "House of Cards," and the Florida Panthers' good luck charm - attended Saturday's game, and Detroit put on a show for him.
"It was nice to see Mr. President in the stands," Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg said, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.
Detroit erased a 3-1 deficit, scoring three times in the third period to win 5-3.
It was goaltender Jimmy Howard's second win in a row, and he rather enjoyed the celebrity appearance, too.
"That was great seeing Spacey. That was fantastic," he said. "I'm a huge 'House of Cards' fan, huge Spacey fan. 'Usual Suspects,' you name it."
The Panthers are 0-1 with Spacey in attendance.
