Didier Drogba returns to action in Montreal's match vs. FC Dallas
At long last, upon the green (and real) grass of FC Dallas' home venue, Toyota Stadium, Didier Drogba has returned to action for the Montreal Impact.

The Ivorian came into the match in the 70th minute, replacing Lucas Ontivero and slotting in up top with Ignacio Piatti behind him. The presence of the former Chelsea man was felt immediately as he made his much-anticipated season debut with the Impact, a return that was by no means guaranteed.
Drogba spent the off-season being courted by Chelsea, then faced rumors of an imminent retirement; he trained alone in Qatar during preseason and was sidelined for the start of the 2016 with injury. He then trained with Sacramento to recover from a knee injury, then ruled out any games on turf surfaces, too.
