Zach Randolph returns for Grizzlies after 7-game absence
Finally, the Memphis Grizzlies got a positive development on the injury front.
The brutally banged-up club - which is currently rostering four players on 10-day contracts and has been regularly dressing the minimum eight players for games this month - has power forward Zach Randolph back in the starting lineup for Saturday night's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers.
A knee injury kept Randolph sidelined for the previous seven games, of which the Grizzlies lost five (including their last four in a row).
The 34-year-old was the team's leading rebounder and third-leading scorer before being injured, averaging 14.6 points and 7.9 rebounds in 29.4 minutes (his lowest since 2002-03) per game.
The Grizzlies have been three points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor.
Shooting guard Vince Carter, who missed four games with a lower-leg injury, also returned off the bench in Saturday's game.
