Free-agent Shortstop Ruben Tejada has rejected a minor-league deal from the New York Yankees, according to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News.
He's believed to have another big-league offer on the table from another club.
Tejada, who was officially released Wednesday by the Mets, would've likely competed with Rob Refsnyder for the final spot on the Yankees' 25-man roster had he accepted the deal.
The 26-year-old, who had a leg broken on an aggressive takeout slide from Chase Utley in last year's playoffs, produced a .255/.330/.323 slash line with 148 RBIs over six seasons with the Mets.
The versatile infielder hit .278/.316/.611 with a homer and five RBIs in 18 at-bats this spring.
