Kawhi Leonard out Friday vs. Grizzlies with quad contusion

Kawhi Leonard won't play Friday when the San Antonio Spurs host the Memphis Grizzlies. Leonard will sit with a right quad contusion suffered during Wednesday's win over the Miami Heat.
Leonard left the game in third quarter after scoring 32 points, which tied his career high. The team didn't address the injury after the game, but teammate Tony Parker suggested that he didn't think it was serious.
"Depends, but, two, three days, you know," Parker told reporters. "I don't think it's that bad."
The Spurs are entering the stretch of the season when coach Gregg Popovich tends to rest his stars ahead of the playoffs. In addition to Leonard sitting, forward Boris Diaw and guards Danny Green and Patty Mills will get Friday night off.
Leonard - who has evolved into the team's go-to player this season - last missed time in February, when he sat out three games with calf tightness in his left leg. He ranks first in the NBA in defensive win shares and second in 3-point percentage.
