Conor McGregor open to rematch with Nate Diaz

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY

After coming up short against Nate Diaz at UFC 196, losing by way of a second-round submission, all indications are that Conor McGregor's next fight will be a defense of his featherweight title.

But that doesn't mean he's not thinking about an eventual rematch.

Asked by TMZ whether another fight with Diaz was a possibility down the road, McGregor indicated that he's willing to give it another shot.

"I think I'd like to see that, yeah," McGregor said. "I mean, it's one that interests me, most certainly.

"You know, when I look at the fight I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel. I'd love to get that one back. We'll see how it goes. Money talks. Life is good."

McGregor's featherweight title defense is expected to come at UFC 200 in July. Though an opponent hasn't yet been announced, both Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo are thought to be under consideration.
