Wenger leads Dynamo to 5-0 win over FC Dallas
Houston - Andrew Wenger had a goal and two assists in the first half and the Houston Dynamo routed FC Dallas 5-0 on Saturday night.
Wenger assisted on goals by David Horst in the sixth minute and Ricardo Clark in the 23rd. Matt Hedges was given credit on an own goal in the 13th minute.
Wenger, acquired from Philadelphia in December, notched his second goal of the season in the 27th minute. The No. 1 overall pick of Montreal in the 2012 Super Draft, knocked the ball back in after his initial shot from point-blank range hit keeper Jesse Gonzalez and bounced right back to him.
Will Bruin added the final goal, the eighth of the season for Houston (1-0-1), in the 85th minute. Joe Willis made six saves for the shutout.
