LSU's Jones likes team's 'great energy' despite 22-point halftime deficit

Crystal LoGiudice / USA Today Sports

LSU headed into the locker room at halftime Saturday trailing Texas A&M 35-13.

It's okay, though, because head coach Johnny Jones thinks his team played with "great energy" in the opening 20 minutes.

At one point during the first half, the Tigers went over 13 minutes between field goals.

Imagine what the scoreline would have looked like without that great energy.

The pounding continued in the second half, and LSU eventually lost by a final score of 71-38.
