Report: Antonio Conte agrees to deal for backroom staff at Chelsea
Antonio Conte, preparing to lead Italy's national team at Euro 2016, is reportedly one step closer to becoming Chelsea's manager.
According to Fabrizio Romano and Marcus Christenson of the Guardian, talks led to Chelsea giving Conte the green light to bring in some of his backroom staff. The Italian manager is the apparent front-runner to take over at Stamford Bridge once Guus Hiddink's contract expires at the end of the Premier League season.
It was reported in February that Chelsea will name Conte as its manager on a three-year deal, while Edinson Cavani and Mauro Icardi are allegedly at the top of the tactician's wishlist when it comes to primary targets in the summer transfer window.

Casting a cloud over Chelsea's reportedly impending appointment of Conte, however, is his involvement in a match-fixing scandal. He is accused of failing to report match-fixing of which he was aware in 2012, when he was managing Siena, and is part of a criminal investigation in which 103 people are on trial.

Even if Conte, as reported, brings some of his backroom staff to Chelsea, Steve Holland, Chelsea's assistant first-team coach, is expected to stay on at the club.
