All-Star guard Russell Westbrook doesn't stall when racking up triple-doubles for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The earlier they come, the better they are.

During the Thunder's 128-94 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, Westbrook secured his league-leading 12th triple-double of the season after grabbing his 10th rebound with 8:52 remaining in the third quarter.

In just 28 minutes of action, Westbrook finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists.

He had 10 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists at halftime, nearly breaking the NBA record for the fastest triple-double. Unfortunately, a late rebound opportunity bounced off his hands and went out of bounds.

Westbrook now takes sole possession of first place in the race for the most triple-doubles in the NBA, moving past Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors (11).

His 12 triple-doubles are also the most by a player in one season since Jason Kidd had 13 in 2007-08, according to NBA Stats.
