Bulls' Portis suffers eye injury vs. Bucks

David Banks / USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls lost Bobby Portis to an eye injury Monday night.

The rookie power forward took a hand to the face from Milwaukee Bucks sophomore Jabari Parker late in the third quarter. Portis immediately rushed toward the Bulls' bench, crumbling to the floor as a team trainer tended to him.

From the camera angle in the following clip, it is unclear whether Portis' left eyeball popped out of its socket or if the protruding object is, in fact, a contact lens.

The 21-year-old - who is averaging 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds through 41 games - left the contest and did not return.

The team referred to Portis' injury as a left orbital contusion.
