DeAngelo Williams: Manning 'couldn't play dead in a Western last year'

Peyton Manning is being showered with endless praise for his illustrious 18-year career, but he still faces his share of critics.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams criticized Manning on his way out, specifically noting his poor performance in 2015. While Manning submitted arguably his worst season to date, he ended up riding out in style as the Denver Broncos captured Super Bowl 50.

Predictably, Williams caught flak from the rest of the Internet, with Manning's defenders wisely pointing out that the running back last reached the 1,000-yard plateau in 2009.

Denver eliminated Pittsburgh 23-16 during the divisional round, and it's possible Williams is still reeling from defeat.

The Steelers running back spent the ensuing eight hours defending his take on Twitter.
