Bradley Beal sprains pelvis in narrow loss to Pacers

Mike DiNovo / USA Today Sports

Injuries have once again struck for Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal.

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner collided with Beal in midair during Saturday's game, and the latter took a hard fall. A timeout was called so he could be helped to the locker room.

Beal was diagnosed with a sprained pelvis and didn't return.

To make matters worse, the Wizards lost 100-99 after Paul George iced the game with two free throws. On the prior play, Wizards center Nene missed a free throw to temporarily put his team up one.

The 22-year-old Beal has been fantastic when healthy, but various injuries have forced him to miss 21 games this season. Since returning from a stress fracture in his leg, he has mostly come off the bench in an effort to curb his minutes.

Beal started Saturday's game and logged 24 minutes before checking out.
