Jets' Peluso out 3-4 weeks, Ehlers out indefinitely

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice announced Friday that forward Anthony Peluso would miss three-to-four weeks with an upper-body injury.

The 26-year-old left Thursday's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes after just 1:22 of ice time. He has a goal and four assists in 35 games this season.

Maurice also said he would have a better idea about the extent of Nikolaj Ehlers' apparent upper-body injury Saturday. He confirmed Friday that the rookie would be out indefinitely with an eye injury suffered after a puck broke his visor. He is not expected to be out long-term.

Ehlers sits sixth in team scoring with 31 points in 63 games.

The Jets also announced forward JC Lipon will be recalled from the AHL's Manitoba Moose.
