Brandt Snedeker withdrew from the second round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral on Friday, citing a rib injury.

"I'm just trying to be proactive about it," Snedeker said, per Rex Hoggard of Golf Channel. The 35-year-old shot an opening round 4-over 76 on Thursday.

Currently ranked 16th in the world, Snedeker had an incredible month of January with top-three finishes in all three tournaments he entered, including a win at the Farmers Insurance Open.
