Carmelo tells heckler to ask Knicks owner for refund
Nobody at Madison Square Garden was particularly happy when the buzzer sounded on the New York Knicks' 104-85 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
It was the Knicks' 15th loss in their last 18 games, and the wayward roster in orange and blue were treated to boos from the home crowd as early as the third quarter. Those catcalls only got worse in the fourth quarter.
Carmelo Anthony decided to fire back at one heckler in particular.
"Look, the owner's right there," Anthony said, pointing to team owner James Dolan. "Ask for your money back."
"He's calling me and telling me he's never coming to another game and we suck. Just don't want to hear that. I pointed to the owner and told him, 'You deal with that with him. Maybe you can get your money back,'" Anthony explained to ESPN's Ian Begley.
The troublesome fan was eventually escorted out by security.
