The Buffalo Bills want Richie Incognito back next season, but, as general manager Doug Whaley acknowledged in January, retaining him could be difficult with the team's salary cap situation.

Complicating matters is Incognito's refusal to cut the Bills a break in his contract expectations, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The Bills believe Incognito owes it to them to accept a deal for less than what he could get elsewhere, and are getting frustrated with his demands, a league source with knowledge of the situation tells Florio.

Head coach Rex Ryan hinted at the NFL Scouting Combine that the Bills were having issues getting a deal done with Incognito, telling reporters, "I'm trying, guys."

At 32 years old, this is likely Incognito's last shot at a big free-agent contract. He signed a one-year deal with Buffalo last season in the hopes of reviving his NFL career after the infamous Miami Dolphins bullying scandal. He started all 16 games at left guard and was named to his second Pro Bowl.
