Troy Tulowitzki is still seething over the trade that sent him from the Colorado Rockies to the Toronto Blue Jays last July, and his comments aren't sitting well with at least one of his former teammates.

During his latest rant about his former club, Tulowitzki expressed his discontent over the atmosphere at the Rockies' spring facility in Arizona, and Nolan Arenado has taken exception to the comment.

"I've told you that Tulo is my boy, and he still is my friend," Arenado told The Denver Post's Patrick Saunders. "But obviously, Tulo has some anger still. I don't know if it's the right way to be saying it in the media, but that's his business and that's how he's handling it.

"But I don't think it's a country club here. I think it's just a matter of guys putting their work in. I don't agree with the 'country club' statement."

Here's what Tulowitzki told USA TODAY's Bob Nightengale about Salt River Fields at Talking Stick:

I like this place a lot better than Arizona. That place was like a country club. Guys got comfortable because it was so nice. This place (Florida Auto Exchange Stadium) has a better feel. It reminds you of spring training. The way it's supposed to be.

Arenado, who credits Tulowitzki with his rise to stardom, is now the face of the Rockies' franchise after belting 42 homers and driving in 130 runs last year.

Tulowitzki, who was drafted by the Rockies with the seventh overall pick in the 2005 draft, spent his entire career with the Rockies before being blindsided by a late-July deal to Toronto last year.
