The Calgary Flames still have another game before Monday's trade deadline, but as the future remains uncertain for Jiri Hudler, the top line was sure to dazzle Thursday night.
Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau set up the veteran winger who helped shepherd them into the league with a beautiful quick-strike passing sequence off a New York Islanders turnover.
Hudler, who scored 31 last season, is an unrestricted free agent this summer, and a prime candidate to be moved in a trade to promote the team's ongoing rebuild.
