Texas A&M's Jordan Davis to transfer
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
After only one season, freshman tight end Jordan Davis is transferring out of Texas A&M, he announced via Twitter.
Wherever he ends up, NCAA rules require him to sit out his sophomore season.
The Houston native was expected to make a big impact with the Aggies, as he was the seventh-ranked tight end recruit in the class of 2015.
Davis' departure leaves Texas A&M bare at the tight end position, as two seniors are also moving on from the program. The Aggies currently have no tight ends under scholarship.
Davis caught just two passes for 7 yards and one touchdown in his first collegiate campaign, but his 6-foot-4, 262-pound frame offers plenty of potential.
