There's been another delay in the ongoing investigation of LeSean McCoy after the media found out about his planned meeting with the Philadelphia district attorney.

McCoy was scheduled to meet with Seth Williams at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, but his lawyers canceled those plans when the meeting was reported earlier in the afternoon, according to John Gonzalez of CSN Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police president John McNesby, who's already been critical of the DA's process, weighed in on the matter again shortly thereafter.

"To have a DA personally meet with a potential defendant or his lawyer before being charged is bizarre," McNesby added.

An official decision from the DA wasn't expected Tuesday, but there is still no timetable for such an announcement.

McCoy is being investigated for his alleged involvement in a Feb. 7 nightclub incident, in which a group of men injured two off-duty cops in a fight over a champagne bottle.
