Juventus' Alex Sandro out 10 days, will miss 1st leg vs. Bayern Munich
The injuries continue to pile up for the Old Lady.
Juventus announced Wednesday that Brazilian wing-back Alex Sandro will miss 10 days due to a thigh ailment picked up in training, a timeline that rules the summer signing out of next week's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Earlier reports swirling around Italy erroneously suggested that Sandro would be on the shelf for six weeks, but the club put those concerns to rest with a brief statement detailing the nature of the injury.
"Alex Sandro will be sidelined for approximately 10 days after an MRI scan revealed an overload of the rectus femoris muscle in his left thigh," the update read.
Sandro joins Martin Caceres and Giorgio Chiellini on the sidelines, with the status of Leonardo Bonucci still unclear after the Italian international left the club's last match against Napoli prematurely.
Juventus is slated to host Bayern, a club riddled with its own array of injuries, on Tuesday.
