VIDEO: Panthers' Jokinen fools Fleury in shootout, clinches win

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

In the NHL's first season with the shootout in 2005-06, then-Dallas Stars rookie Jussi Jokinen led the league with 10 shootout goals, with a number of them coming by way of the infamous "Peter Forsberg" move.

Ten years later and now a member of the Florida Panthers, it looked like Jokinen was going back to his old tricks in the fifth round of a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday - but the veteran fooled Marc-Andre Fleury by hanging onto the puck and wristing it over the outstretched netminder.

It's the 36th shootout goal of Jokinen's career which places him ninth in NHL history. New York Islanders forward Frans Nielsen, who has four shootout goals this season, currently holds the all-time lead with 42.
