Phoenix Suns power forward Markieff Morris has been traded to the Washington Wizards, the team announced Thursday.

The Suns will receive a top-nine protected 2016 first-round pick, Kris Humphries, and DeJuan Blair in return.

Morris had long been named in trade rumors, having dealt with issues both on and off the court during his Suns tenure.

The 26-year-old is averaging 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, shooting 39.7 percent from the floor and 28.9 from beyond the arc.

Humphries has averaged 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds for Washington, while Blair is averaging just 2.1 points.

Besieged with injuries, the Wizards have had a disappointing season thus far, sitting just 10th in the East. However, Washington is also only three games back of a postseason spot, and could be looking to make a run during the latter half of the season.
