Rangers' Nash shut down for at least another week

Candice Ward / USA TODAY Sports

Rick Nash's bone bruise will see him miss at least another week.

New York Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault announced Saturday that Nash will be shut down through to next weekend, and then the volume goal-scorer will be reevaluated once more.

He's been downgraded from day to day to week to week.

The Rangers have rallied without Nash and captain Ryan McDonagh, collecting nine points from their last five games.

Nash will have missed at least four weeks of action before his next evaluation.
