Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar recorded his third career hat trick in clutch fashion Friday.
Kopitar threw the puck on net - capitalizing on a lucky bounce off New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein - to tie the game with just 29.7 seconds remaining in regulation.
The goal proved to be huge, as Tanner Pearson scored in overtime to lead the Kings to a wild 5-4 comeback victory.
The red-hot Kopitar now has 50 points in 54 games this season.
Los Angeles improves to 33-18-3 on the season with the win, expanding its Pacific Division lead to eight points over the San Jose Sharks.
