Kings recall Budaj, Quick listed as day to day

The Los Angeles Kings have recalled goaltender Peter Budaj on emergency conditions from the AHL's Ontario Reign, the club announced Thursday.

The move coincides with an undisclosed injury to Jonathan Quick, who is listed as day to day after sustaining an ailment Tuesday against the Boston Bruins.

Budaj is enjoying a solid year for the Reign, posting a 26-9-3 record with a 1.58 GAA and .935 save percentage in 38 games this season.

He is expected to serve as the backup for Jhonas Enroth against the New York Islanders on Thursday.
