Canadiens place Petry on IR, to miss 'next few games'

Montreal Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien announced Thursday that defenseman Jeff Petry will miss "the next few games" after being placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
Petry didn't play in Tuesday's win over the Tampa Bay Lightning due to the ailment. There is no timeline for his return.

The 28-year-old has five goals and 11 assists, ranking third on the team in ice time, averaging 21:21.
