Karl-Anthony Towns upsets Isaiah Thomas to win Skills Challenge

Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns defeated Isaiah Thomas to win the Skills Challenge.
Towns took down early favorite Draymond Green in the first round, narrowly edged past DeMarcus Cousins in the second round, and somehow outlasted the diminutive Thomas to emerge as the champion.

Both finalists submitted a perfect run until the last task (a simple 3-point shot) before falling apart. Thomas and Towns raced neck and neck, but both missed their first three 3-point tries before Towns finally connected on his fourth try.

Towns was subsequently mobbed by his fellow big men challengers (Cousins, Green, and Anthony Davis) after the precocious 20-year-old neophyte stripped the title away from the guards.
