Kevin Durant says he hasn't thought about signing 1-year deal this summer

Kevin Durant's looming free agency has been the elephant in the Oklahoma City Thunder's locker room all season.

While Durant has given nothing away publicly, speculation has already started to swirl about whether he might leave the only NBA team he's ever known, and where he might go if he does.

One popular prediction for Durant's much-anticipated summer is that he'll sign a one-year deal to remain in Oklahoma City for 2016-17 (when the cap is set to spike), then enter free agency again before the 2017-18 season (when the cap's expected to spike again) at the same time as teammate Russell Westbrook.

Thhat scenario was put to Durant in an ESPN Radio interview during All-Star Media Day on Friday, but Durant claimed he hadn't considered the notion.

"Actually that's probably one of the first times I've heard that one," Durant said, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. "But, no, I haven't really thought about it, man. ... I haven't thought about contracts or free agency or none of that stuff at all. ... I really haven't thought about that one. I guess I have to."

Durant has been linked to potential suitors ranging from his hometown Washington Wizards to the star-hungry Los Angeles Lakers to the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

The New York Knicks are also presumed to be in pursuit, though Durant expressed his dismay Friday with the Knicks' recent firing of their head coach - and Durant's former Thunder teammate - Derek Fisher.

"This league, it don't matter what your record is nowadays," Durant said. "You still get fired. I don't know who's doing it deep in the organization internally. Record doesn't matter anymore if you're a coach. Fish did a great job."
