Canadiens' Markov sets up Pacioretty, keeps climbing franchise assist list
Andrei Markov continues to cement his legacy as one of the most prolific passers in Montreal Canadiens history.
The 37-year-old defenseman delivered a perfect dish to Max Pacioretty, who scored his 20th goal of the season Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Markov's helper was his 407th career assist in his 900th game, moving him past Guy Lapointe into sole possession of 10th place on the Canadiens' all-time assist list.
He's now one helper behind Elmer Lach for ninth, and 14 behind Maurice "Rocket" Richard for eighth.
Markov also moved into second place on the franchise's all-time assist list among defensemen, but he'll have a hard time catching Larry Robinson, who notched 686.
Markov has spent his entire 15-year career with the Canadiens, racking up 111 goals and 518 points from the blue line.
