Another familiar face from the Cleveland Indians organization is joining the Toronto Blue Jays.

Former Indians and Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge has been hired by the Blue Jays as a player development advisor.

The former skipper last managed in the big leagues with the Mariners in 2013. He owns a lifetime record of 774-846, and was at the helm of the Indians' 2007 run to the American League Championship Series after winning the Central Division earlier that season.

Wedge, who was named 2007's AL Manager of the Year, joins general manager Ross Atkins as another former Indians employee to join the Blue Jays since president and CEO Mark Shapiro moved into his role.
