Clippers' Rivers out indefinitely with broken hand

The Los Angeles Clippers have lost another member of their regular rotation to a hand injury.
Reserve guard Austin Rivers suffered a left hand injury during Wednesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. An MRI done on Saturday revealed a fracture.
He'll be re-evaluated on Monday, when a timetable for his return will be set, the team announced Sunday.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst recently reported Rivers would be sidelined for four-to-six weeks.
He didn't play in Friday's win over the Orlando Magic.
The Clippers, 33-17 and fourth in the Western Conference, are already without star big man Blake Griffin, who required surgery after breaking his hand in an off-court incident that saw him punch a team staffer.
Rivers has yet to prove himself a consistent performer in four seasons as a pro, but he soaks up more than 21 minutes per game on an already thin Clippers bench. Losing him leaves the Clippers further devoid of a primary ball-handler behind Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford, although it's plausible Lance Stephenson could fill in on an emergency basis.
Rivers is averaging a career-high 8.1 points along with 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists on an effective field-goal percentage of 48.7.
