Edmond Tarverdyan has been suspended three months and fined $5,000 by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) for falsifying his 2015 corner's application, according to Marc Raimondi of MMAfighting.com.

Tarverdyan, who's recently worked with former UFC champion Ronda Rousey, had his corner license revoked last month when the allegations first surfaced.

On his application, Tarverdyan failed to disclose a past arrest for criminal offenses. He was arrested on two counts of identity theft and one count of resisting arrest in 2010. He later pleaded no contest to all three counts of identity theft after the charges were reduced to misdemeanors, receiving a one-day jail sentence with 30 days of community service and three years of probation.

His license was reinstated along with the announcement of his discipline at a CSAC hearing Tuesday, but he'll now have to wait three months before he's again able to corner a fighter within the Association of Boxing Commission. Tarverdyan will also be under probation for the next three years.

"I want to first and foremost apologize to Executive Officer Andy Foster and the honorable commissioners," Tarverdyan said in a statement prior to his Tuesday hearing. "I take my position and role in combat sports very seriously, and I regret if this matter has caused any embarrassment to the California State Athletic Commission."
