Harbaugh pens letter to Ann Arbor: 'Who's got it better than us? Nobody'

It's no secret Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh bleeds maize and blue.

Harbaugh has pulled out all the stops in his first full recruiting cycle with the Wolverines, and after sleepovers, tree-climbing, and assembling an all-star party cast featuring Derek Jeter and Ric Flair, the Ann Arbor native used a more heartfelt approach as his final recruiting tactic.

The Michigan boss took to The Player's Tribune to write a neighborly letter on what living in Ann Arbor means to him, and what it could mean for the Wolverines' recruits.

"I go all over this country recruiting people, and it’s enjoyable," Harbaugh said. When I'm inside these homes, it doesn't even feel like work. I meet so many good families everywhere I go. And they all want the best for their sons and daughters. That's the common thread. We have that here in Ann Arbor. Very strongly."

Harbaugh mentions he's moved more than 20 times in his life, but says moving back to Ann Arbor was the most special.

"A lot of people outside of Michigan asked me why I decided to make that third move to Ann Arbor," Harbaugh said. "It's pretty simple: I love football. I love coaching. I love Michigan. And for me, there's no better place for those three things than right here in Ann Arbor."

He closed the letter with his patented line, which he's been saying since he grew up in the shadow of Michigan Stadium: "Who’s got it better than us? Nobody."
