Cincinnati could be without starting forward Shaq Thomas for a while - at least that's what head coach Mick Cronin indicated after Thomas left Thursday's game against UConn with a foot injury.

"Really worried about Shaq Thomas right now," Cronin said after the game, according to FOX19's Jeremy Rauch. "His foot doesn't look good. He's a senior. I love him."

Thomas suffered the injury in the second half of the contest. He was helped off the floor unable to put much, if any, weight on the ailing foot.

Thomas, who starts for the Bearcats, was averaging 7.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game entering Thursday's action. He scored two points and added three rebounds in 18 minutes of floor time against the Huskies.

Though the consolation isn't much, Cincinnati did pull out the 58-57 win at home over its AAC rivals.
