4-star OT Prince Sammons commits to Auburn

Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

One of the nation's top lineman is off the board, as four-star offensive tackle Prince Sammons is headed to Auburn.

The Cincinnati resident is the 18th-ranked lineman in the country, and comes in at 174th on ESPN's Top 300. The long and lean Sammons, who also played defensive end, will have to add some weight to his 266-pound frame, but his raw strength and exceptional height made him a target of over 30 FBS programs.

The Nigerian-born Sammons moved to the United States in 2011, and has only been playing organized football for three years. His athleticism should fit right in with coach Gus Malzahn's spread offense system.
