Here are theScore's point guard value rankings for Wednesday, January 27:

Value Rankings

Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Stephen Curry (GS) vs. DAL 10
Kyrie Irving (PHX) vs. PHX 10
Russell Westbrook (OKC) at MIN 10
Isaiah Thomas (BOS) vs. DEN 9
Trey Burke (UTA) vs. CHA 9

Curry proved confirmed yet again that he doesn't need to play a full game with a full workload in order to return value. He finished with 37 points, six 3-pointers, two rebounds and three assists in just 28 minutes while blowing out the San Antonio Spurs. Wednesday projects as a more conventional blowout of the depleted Mavericks, and Curry will quickly return value again.

Irving and Westbrook each have similarly favorable matchups. The only concern for all three is whether they stay in the game long enough, but they should efficiently return value.

Burke is likely to start in place of Raul Neto, providing him with increased opportunity to score. He doesn't do much in other areas, but he's affordable enough to return value with points alone.

Best of the Rest

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Kemba Walker (CHA) at UTA 8
Chris Paul (LAC) at ATL 8
Marcus Smart (BOS) vs. DEN 8
Zach LaVine (MIN) vs. OKC 8
Brandon Jennings (DET) vs. PHI 7
Matthew Dellavedova (CLE) vs. PHX 7
Ricky Rubio (MIN) vs. OKC 7
Reggie Jackson (DET) vs. PHI 7

Walker continues to exceed his rapidly increasing price. The Jazz will be the best defensive team he's faced of late, but his volume has been consistently high enough that it shouldn't matter.

Jennings' role has been slowly increasing, and it could reach a new high for the season against the lowly 76ers. Jackson should lead the way with the Pistons' first unit.

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Ish Smith (PHI) at DET 6
Deron Williams (DAL) at GS 6
Patrick Beverley (HOU) at SA 6
Troy Daniels (CHA) at UTA 6
Jeremy Lin (CHA) at UTA 5
Patty Mills (SA) vs. HOU 5
Shaun Livingston (GS) vs. DAL 5
Emmanuel Mudiay (DEN) at BOS 5
Cameron Payne (OKC) at MIN 4
T.J. McConnell (PHI) at DET 4
Randy Foye (DEN) at BOS 4
Leandro Barbosa (GS) vs. DAL 4
Jason Terry (HOU) at SA 4

Smith is the clear top option of this grouping, as he possesses the highest ceiling. The majority of the other options are players that routinely return value, but they rarely exceed it by a considerable margin. Favorable matchups exist for Mills, Payne and Barbosa, potentially leading to increased playing time.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Jeff Teague (ATL) vs. LAC 3
Isaiah Canaan (PHI) at DET 3
Tony Parker (SA) vs. HOU 2
Dennis Schroder (ATL) vs. LAC 2
Ty Lawson (HOU at SA 2

Timeshares and poor recent form detract from each of these five players. Teague's price has not fallen nearly enough to have him warrant strong consideration.
