4-star DB Lavert Hill signs with Michigan
Michigan strengthened its secondary Wednesday as four-star defensive back Lavert Hill announced his commitment to the Wolverines.
The Detroit native is ranked as the 21st-best at his position in the country, and listed as the 278th overall prospect in ESPN's Top 300. Hill was previously committed to Penn State for most of 2015 before pulling his pledge in late November and reopening his recruitment.
Hill's brother Delano is currently a safety at Michigan, and the offer to suit up with his sibling near his hometown was too much to pass up. The 5-foot-10 speedster is a top cover corner who isn't shy about tackling in the run game, and should fit well in coach Jim Harbaugh's system.
